Desire To Hide


When I hold back my energy

it is as if I’m robbing another

Of my thoughts

Of my insights

Criticisms, point of view and dull perspective

what is it that’s so good about my

voice?

It should be so ordinary

for me to merely speak and joke

to laugh and praise

run from the light

and dance in darkness

But they want to drag me out.

We are Davena and Jason Hoskins, co-authors of 30+ books and siblings who write under the pseudonym D.J. Hoskins. Three years apart and in our twenties, we have been fascinated by stories from a young age. Davena is a student attending Princeton University, and Jason attends Georgetown University.
