Humility Of The Chess Computer

Every move and every line… is incorrect.

For everything I see, is a mere shadow of the truth. A falsification, an aberration, an illusion.

Of what to make of myself? Am I to ever become more than a fraud? A dreamer? A charlatan?

The chess computer ruins my self-esteem, forever heckling me. Spilling tears across cold silicone as it laughs inexorably at my efforts.

The Berlin? You barely know the lines!

The Najdorf? Don’t make me laugh!

How small and insignificant the computer make me feel. Correcting, and critiquing… its judgment is absolute. The pinnacle of reasoning, an iron fortress upon the tundra of truth.

How disappointing it is to be human.
