Moment Of Sparkles… A Poem Of Warmth And Long Days

You know that moment

at end of day

when breaths pass lightly from you

such is like the warm breeze of summer day

so brief and satisfying,

brisk the pause

does calm the mind

And make the teeth shine bright

— it’s pleasant your kind smile

it’s been inching out all day

tweaking gently at stubborn corners

working past the wrinkles that hold what it may

to smooth out that furrowed brow

but now here comes,

the sun has set

and moon come out

to lay you down for rest

the shade of night has laid work down

and praised you with the gift of light

with twinkles in the stars
