The Dangers Of Hyper-intellectualism
Too much, or too little always proves destructive to an organism overtime.
My intellect has become obese. Too large, too copious to handle. Crushing from the outside in, it's suffocating. For its gravity is too strong, a powerful implosion of force increasingly compressing inward.
The internal pressure resists collapse, pushing outward with the maxim of nuclear force. Beating back not the intensity of life, but the compounding effects of mass. The ever present addition of knowledge, introspection, and isolation.
Neutron stars live alone. Spinning around in a void of their own creation, they strike the fabric of spacetime with beams of light. Lashing out into the night with unfathomable power, they're ignored. Unimportant to the indifferent cosmos which surrounds them. Unimpressive, unobserved, unseen by the naked eye. They suffer in silence, radiating a malignant contempt for their section of the galaxy. Until steadily, finally, evaporating into the nothingness of a frozen sky.
"From black they come, to black they shall go."
