Literary Posers
Thick books and snide looks. They hold an air, a sensibility, a snobbery.
Shakespeare, Van Gogh… they’ll never know; they’ll never have it, never know their pain.
Never bathe in it, soak it in, strike the pen, shatter their spirit.
They’re just posers.
Always in search of the right light, the best café, the perfect hotel, an elated smell.
How pathetic they are, I can’t even stand the sight. My eyes might burn, or worse… I might become them.
Best to stay away, ignore what they say… they can’t write anyway.
“I wouldn’t even sneeze on them, less they catch the cold winds of passion.” An Author
